Two-factor authentication
Hivebase provides two-factor authentication for users for significantly upgraded account security.
Two-factor authentication apps
If you don't already have a 2FA app on your phone, you'll need to get one set up before you can enable 2FA on your Hivebase account. Here are a few options to consider:
- Duo Mobile: https://duo.com/product/multi-factor-authentication-mfa/duo-mobile-app
- 2FAS: https://2fas.com/
- Authy: https://authy.com/
- Microsoft Authenticator: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security/mobile-authenticator-app

Enabling two-factor authentication
Click on your user profile photo or initials at the very top-right of Hivebase and select My Profile.
From there click on the Two Factor Authentication tab and you'll see an option to enable 2FA.
Once enabled, you will be given a QR code you can scan with the authenticator app on your phone, or a code you can copy/paste. Your authenticator app will then start generating numeric codes. You will need to enter the code back in Hivebase to complete the 2FA setup process.
Recovery codes
Hivebase provides you with a list of recovery codes that you can use to access your account if your phone is lost and you don't have access to your authenticator app.
Store these codes in a very secure location, such as a password manager.
Sign in with 2FA
Once 2FA is enabled, you will be prompted for an authentication code the next time you sign in to your Hivebase account.
